Tomasz Humar dies on Nepal peak »
In 2005, he got trapped in the Himalayas on an icy ledge of Nanga Parbat mountain at about 6,000m during a solo climb.Two Pakistani army helicopter pilots saved him and were later decorated with Slovenia’s highest award for bravery.
This rescue was hailed as one of the world’s most difficult rescue operation. Pakistani Army Aviation pilots had to even remove the batteries from their helicopter after starting it to make their helicopters lighter.
Tomasz, will be respected by all the Pakistanis for wonderful contribution he made to the Northern Areas of Pakistan. RIP.
